SDG Week Outreach

New this year to SSA, we transitioned from our Annual Environmental Week into SDG Week. SDG stands for Sustainable Developmental Goals. These goals were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. There are 17 goals total. This year we chose 3 of those goals in which to focus: 1-Climate Action 2-Good Health and Well Being 3-No Poverty Throughout the week, there were many activities that embodied these goals for associates to join, such as; a pajama drive for local foster children, notes to doctors and nurses on the front lines of COVID, planting trees, etc. The CSR Department is happy to announce that for a fifth year in a row, SSA associates came together to achieve 100% participation! Thank you to all associates that took the time to educate themselves on the SDG’s and partake in these activities.
