Annual Food Drive

SSA held our annual food drive just in time for Thanksgiving. A total of 1,443 non-perishable food items were collected and donated. The food was divided between the Beacon of Hope and the Clark County Homeless Coalition (CCHC). Both of which have seen a large increase in needs due to the pandemic and a decrease in donations. “The large food donation from Sekisui was so wonderful! Our pantry shelves were the barest they have been in many years and yet the need is greater. It was so exciting to know there would be food for those most in need”, said Terry Davidson, the Executive Director of CCHC. Like everything, things were a little different this year when it came to collecting the items. Typically, associates are split into two teams for a little friendly competition on who can collect the most. However, this year we just had one giant turkey helping us collect. Despite things being different, the drive was still a huge success. Thank you to all associates and families that donated this year.
